About the Team
The DevEx (Developer Experience) team is on a mission to make life easier for engineers across TransferGo. We don’t work on customer-facing features—instead, we focus on improving the foundations. Our goal is to optimise our existing PHP codebase, streamline development workflows, and boost the productivity of other engineering teams by removing friction and improving internal tooling.

Here’s what you’ll be doing as Backend Engineer:
- Helping to maintain services in a cloud-native, service-oriented environment, which will be used by multi-platform applications and hundreds of thousands of users.
- Enjoying a great level of autonomy, implementation approach and production operations of your services. We truly believe in the “Builders mindset”.
- Working closely with your fellow engineers to shape engineering strategy and the roadmap. Your work will directly impact day-to-day lives of your peers.
You’ll report to our Engineering Director.
Here’s what we’d love from our new Backend Engineer:
- Working experience with PHP.
- You are able to detect problems and find, create solutions.
- You have strong sense of ownership.
- You are a good communicator and are able to use English effectively at work.
- You can champion engineering innovation and best practices.
- You enjoy sharing your experience with other engineers and helping others to succeed.
And if you can also do this stuff, even better:
- Experience with .NET.
- Exposure to working with microservices.

- Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD: Github, Jenkins
