Backend Engineer
We are seeking a talented backend software engineer to join our DataOne business line within ClearScore group. You would be joining our Open Banking Services squad to help improve the transaction categorisation engine which supports ClearScore UK and also external B2B lending and other partners.

What you will be doing:
- Reporting to the squad captain of OB Services
- Building upon and improving our transaction categorisation engine which is used to analyse millions of transactions every single day
- Deploying production code helping to categorise transactions in real-time which enables use cases such as lending decisions, credit limit increases and many more
- Develop improvements driven through feedback from B2B partners across the UK
- Working in a “You Build It, You Run It” environment to build solutions end to end against AWS
Skills we'd love you to have:
- C# .NET experience
- Relational SQL databases experience
- Terraform
- AWS
- GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipelines
You will be joining:
- The OB Services squad who will offer support and guidance whilst you also collaborate closely with our categorisation team to build upon and improve the categorisation engine
- The DataOne team are part of the ClearScore group benefiting from being part of an established company whilst operating independently as a startup
- A global team of ~150 developers in ClearScore’s technology function

What is D·One?
D·One was created in 2022 as a result of ClearScore’s acquisition of Money Dashboard - a company with best in class open banking and categorisation capabilities. The D·One mission exists to provide open banking data to lending partners, market researchers including hedge funds and ClearScore. Currently, our primary goal is enabling lenders to adopt open banking by delivering a lender specific open banking service with best-in-class credit analytics.
