What Makes This Role Great

In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving the evolution of Trimble's global positioning services. You will directly influence how real-time satellite data is processed for thousands of international users across surveying, agriculture, and automated driving industries, while building modern cloud architectures in a highly collaborative environment.

Key Exciting Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software solutions for high-precision positioning across Trimble's VRSNow service and external operator networks.

  • Drive the transformation of legacy server solutions into a highly scalable, microservices-driven cloud architecture.

  • Integrate complex atmospheric modeling algorithms to deliver reliable, real-time data to field users globally.

  • Prepare cloud-based services to handle functionality, high uptime, and continuous performance improvements.

  • Build and optimize backend solutions using modern tools such as C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and Pub/Sub Messaging.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, geoinformatics, or a related technical field.

  • Strong software development experience in a .NET environment using Microsoft Visual Studio and Git, with an interest in leveraging AI tools to enhance development productivity.

  • Solid programming knowledge of C# or a similar object-oriented language, along with experience writing and consuming web services.

  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

  • Continuous drive to stay up-to-date with emerging cloud development trends and patterns.

  • Experience with REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, or pub/sub messaging systems like MQTT.

  • Background in GNSS technology or high-precision positioning systems.

Location: Höhenkirchen near Munich, Germany
