We are looking for…

Cavista Technologies is seeking an experienced, innovative C# Backend Engineer passionate about building secure, scalable, high-performing financial solutions. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services and APIs that power financial products, digital payments, and customer experiences. Working closely with product, frontend engineering, QA, and other stakeholders, you will support in shaping the technical direction of our platform and drive engineering excellence.

What will you do…

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Build and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and backend systems for fintech products.
  • Develop solutions for payment processing, transaction management, reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to ensure engineering excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and security.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to streamline software delivery.

Qualifications

What you bring...

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of Fintech Experience
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Build and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and backend systems for fintech products.
  • Develop solutions for payment processing, transaction management, reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to ensure engineering excellence.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring minimal downtime.

 

REGULATORY CONSIDERATIONS

  • Implement backend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
  • Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
