The Back End Tester Sustaining Senior Engineer is responsible for sustaining and improving semiconductor test equipment performance to support production requirements. This role focuses on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
What you need to do:
- Maintain and support tester equipment to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and analyze downtime trends.
- Support equipment qualification, setup, conversion, and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with Production, Process, and Quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to improve OEE, productivity, and equipment stability.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for technical support and upgrades.
- Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or equipment engineering.
- Experience with semiconductor tester equipment is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of TPM, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
