- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to translate integration requirements into scalable API-led connectivity solutions.
- Design and develop MuleSoft APIs following the API-led architecture approach, including System APIs, Process APIs, and Experience APIs.
- Build and maintain integration flows using Anypoint Studio, implementing data transformations, orchestration logic, and error handling.
- Develop reusable integration components and templates to support enterprise-wide connectivity standards.
- Implement integrations between Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Commerce Cloud), ERP systems, marketing platforms, payment gateways, data warehouses, and other third-party applications.
- Perform data transformations using DataWeave to map and normalize data across systems.
Implement robust exception handling, logging, monitoring, and retry mechanisms to ensure reliability and fault tolerance.
- Secure APIs using OAuth 2.0, JWT, mutual TLS, and other authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Manage API lifecycle processes including design, versioning, documentation, deployment, and monitoring using Anypoint Platform.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Monitor production integrations and proactively resolve performance or reliability issues.
- Document integration architecture, API specifications, and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a MuleSoft Developer with hands-on expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Solid experience with DataWeave for complex data transformation and mapping.
- Experience implementing API-led connectivity patterns (System, Process, Experience layers).
- Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce and other enterprise platforms such as ERP, Commerce, marketing automation, and financial systems.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous processing, event-driven architecture, and message queuing.
- Experience implementing security best practices for APIs and integrations.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and hybrid integration environments.
- Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform components including API Manager, Runtime Manager, Exchange, and Design Center.
Strong knowledge of REST, SOAP, RAML, and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with DataWeave scripting and complex transformation logic.
- Familiarity with Salesforce APIs (REST, Bulk, Streaming, Platform Events).
- Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- MuleSoft certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Developer (MCD – Level 1/2) are preferred.
