Azure App Engineer
Role Summary: The Azure App Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET, Blazor, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure DevOps. The role combines hands-on software engineering, database development, CI/CD automation, Agile delivery, and production support to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable business solutions for enterprise application portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and support enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET and Blazor technologies.
- Build scalable, maintainable, reusable, and secure web application components aligned with enterprise architecture and coding standards.
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server database solutions, including queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.
- Implement database connectivity, integrations, APIs, and application interfaces required for enterprise business processes.
- Create, maintain, and improve Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, source control repositories, build automation, release automation, and deployment processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Provide application maintenance, enhancements, bug fixes, production support, incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause resolution.
- Ensure adherence to secure coding practices, quality standards, documentation requirements, operational controls, and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, QA teams, DevOps engineers, infrastructure teams, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Technical Skills Required
- Microsoft .NET development: strong hands-on coding experience using .NET Framework / .NET, C#, ASP.NET, object-oriented programming, and modern web application patterns.
- Blazor development: experience building web applications using Blazor Server and/or Blazor WebAssembly with reusable, component-based UI design.
- Microsoft SQL Server: strong knowledge of database connectivity, query writing, query optimization, troubleshooting, stored procedures, views, functions, and database design.
- Application lifecycle: experience across architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and production support activities.
- Azure DevOps: hands-on experience with Git repositories, branching, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, build automation, release management, deployment automation, and environment promotion.
- Agile delivery: experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with sprint-based planning, estimation, collaboration, delivery tracking, and continuous improvement practices.
- Application support: strong troubleshooting, debugging, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and permanent fix implementation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, cloud-hosted applications, cloud integration patterns, and enterprise application hosting models.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, API integrations, microservices concepts, design patterns, and modern application architecture principles.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, telemetry, observability, performance tuning, reliability improvement, and operational readiness.
- Understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorization, identity integration, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is an added advantage.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in .NET application development, application enhancement, enterprise application support, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting enterprise web applications using .NET, Blazor, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, source control repositories, build/release automation, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across business, technical, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, and support teams.
