Currently, we are looking for an AWS Architect with SRE skills to join our team in Sweden. This role supports a large Nordic customer at an early stage of their cloud journey, moving workloads from on‑prem to AWS. The current team handles operations today, and there is a clear expectation that SRE needs will grow as the program progresses.
Your daily responsibilities:
- Design and evolve cloud architecture on AWS for both new and existing workloads, supporting migration from on‑prem to AWS.
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and resilient infrastructure on AWS.
- Work as a bridge between infrastructure and applications (e.g., EKS, S3), ensuring reliability and operability are built into solutions.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using observability tools.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support delivery by defining and prioritizing the backlog, and at times executing hands‑on tasks together with the team and consultants.
- Deveop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Implement incident management processes, including on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
- Optimize system performance, cost, and resource utilization in AWS environments.
- Ensure system security and compliance with best practices and organizational standards.
- Collaborate closely with platform and delivery roles (Cloud Platform Manager, Cloud Architect, external consultants) and support stakeholders with clear communication and structured steering.
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Onsite collaboration from the client’s Malmö office 3 days per week (regular face‑to‑face).
Your key skills:
- Hands-on experience with infra and app AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM) and ability to apply them in practical architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (ECS / Kubernetes).
- Understanding of networking concepts, security, and high availability architectures.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement.
- Native communication skills in Swedish and fluent in English.
Skills we'd consider a plus:
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and fault-tolerant design.
- Experience with cost optimization strategies in AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
