Organizational Overview:

This role will be part of the Data Architecture & Analytics group part of Engineering organization.

  • Data team is responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading(ETL).

  • Data team owns and manages different tools platforms which provides an environment for designing and building different data solutions.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources and ensure data quality and consistency.

  • Building and maintaining data models to facilitate data access and analysis by Data Scientists and Analysts

Role Summary/Purpose:

We are looking for a strong Individual contributor, Neo4j Platform Engineer, to be part of Data Platforms for enabling and supporting different business teams to perform analytics using Graph Database Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Significant Experience with Neo4j and Cypher query language.

  • Expertise in graph driven data science applications, such as graph based feature engineering, graph embedding, or graph neural networks

  • Experience building Enterprise Level Standards and Gold Images for provisioning

  • Experience with Encryption Solutions for Neo4J

  • Experience with Backup & Recovery Methodologies used for Neo4J

  • Experience with Neo4J HA Architecture for Critical Applications (Clustering, Multiple Data Centers, etc.)

  • Experience with LDAP Based Authentication & Authorization for Neo4J

  • Experience in high availability and disaster recovery solutions

  • Responsible for ensuring the availability and consistency of multiple Neo4j databases and making the data accessible to applications.

  • Setting Up and Operating Multi-Node Neo4j Cluster and managing multi-node Neo4j clusters to ensure scalability and high availability.

  • General Database Administration and Data Storage Design.

  • Database administration and data storage design for maintaining the health and performance of Neo4j databases.

  • Troubleshooting database performance issues.

  • Diagnose and address performance bottlenecks within Neo4j database.

  • Neo4j Database Administration, Data Storage Design, Troubleshooting.

  • Extensive experience in monitoring systems and their performance.

  • Experience deploying and working with observability systems such as: Prometheus, Grafana, New-Relic, Splunk Logging.

  • Extensive experience with deploying and managing applications running on Kubernetes (experience with administering Kubernetes clusters).

  • The ability to debug large and complex cloud-based systems.

  • Experience on installation and configuration of Bloom and GDS software.

  • Experience on installation and configuration of Linkurious Enterprise software

  • Troubleshooting Linkurious issues

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5+ years of technology experience & in lieu of a degree 7+ years of Technology experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of Database management experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing Data platforms.

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships at all levels across IT and the business.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and work effectively across business and geographical boundaries.

  • Expertise in evaluating technology and solution engineering, with strong focus on architecture and deployment of new technology

  • Superior decision-making, client relationship, and vendor management skills.

Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with a strong ability to lead and influence others.

  • Experience working iteratively in a fast-paced agile environment.

  • Demonstrated competency linking business strategy with IT technology initiatives

  • Proven track record of leading and executing on critical business initiatives on-time and within budget.

Work Timings: 3 PM to 12 AM IST

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs) We are proud to offer flexibility at Synchrony. Our way of working allows you the option to work from home or workspaces in our Regional Engagement Hubs—Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, or Delhi/NCR. Occasionally you may be required to commute or travel to Hyderabad or one of the Regional Engagement Hubs for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, trainings, and culture events
