What We're Looking For
We are seeking a dynamic Reporting Lead to drive our reporting and analytics function with an AI-first mindset. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, owning the delivery of high-impact reporting solutions while managing a geographically dispersed team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment at Cross River Bank.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead a geographically dispersed reporting team, fostering collaboration across time zones and locations
Run all scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, refinements) with discipline and purpose
Continuously improve team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability through data-driven coaching
Provide stretch assignments that grow individual capabilities and expand the team's collective skill set
Manage and enable competing stakeholders across CRB, balancing priorities with transparency and clear communication
Serve as the single point of accountability for reporting deliverables across business lines
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Support
Support projects and strategic initiatives by collaborating closely with Data Ambassadors to align reporting deliverables with business objectives
Balance and prioritize project/initiative work alongside BAU responsibilities, ensuring timely delivery across both
Partner with the Data Engineering team to ensure data availability and co-develop data marts that directly support reporting needs
Collaborate with Data Semantics and Intelligence to leverage correct data mappings, ensuring accurate KPIs in all developed reports and visualizations
AI-First Design & Innovation
Champion AI-first design principles in all reporting and analytics workflows
Leverage Claude Code and AI-assisted development to accelerate report creation, code generation, and data transformation
Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes using AI tooling
Establish standards and best practices for integrating AI capabilities into the team's development lifecycle
Technical Delivery
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, SSRS, and AWS Quick Suite
Implement and manage data integration processes using SSIS and modern ETL patterns
Write and optimize complex SQL; build procedures and functions in Snowflake
Migrate existing reports to new data sources while maintaining accuracy and functionality
Ensure data integrity and governance across all reporting platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues with urgency
Operational Accountability
Own end-to-end accountability for critical, recurring business functions enabled by reporting — including monthly statement processing, regulatory filings, and scheduled data extracts
Ensure all production reporting processes have documented run books, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support instructions maintained to current-state accuracy and made available to the Data Production Support team
Co-own with Data Production Support the definition and monitoring of SLAs for production report delivery, ensuring on-time execution and proactive communication of any delays or failures to impacted stakeholders
Co-own with Data Production Support a production reporting calendar that accounts for dependencies, blackout windows, and business-critical deadlines
Conduct periodic operational readiness reviews for new or migrated reports before promoting to production, including sign-off from the support team
Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring production incidents, reducing mean time to resolution (MTTR)
Ensure business continuity planning for critical reporting functions, including backup procedures, failover processes, and disaster recovery documentation
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience leading reporting or BI teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong hands-on skills with Tableau, SSRS, and SSIS
Solid SQL programming expertise, including Snowflake procedures and functions
Familiarity with Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development tools
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology, including facilitating ceremonies
Knowledge of Athena, JIRA, and Confluence
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial services or a regulated industry
Familiarity with AWS Quick Suite, Power BI, or QlikView
Experience with conversational analytics or natural language query (NLQ) tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI Copilot, Tableau Pulse, or equivalent platforms that enable business-user self-service through AI-driven Q&A

Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00
