AVP – Regulatory Compliance and AML/ABC Team Lead
Key Accountabilities:
Regulatory Compliance Team Lead
- To improve the insurance sales process across all stages of the sales lifecycle.
- To oversight regulatory compliance and sales conduct team and coordinate with HODs to ensure all tasks is complete as planned
- To review and manage all related reports submitting to group compliance and regulator in a timely manner.
- To set up a Compliance program and/or procedure to prevent, monitor and detect any potential risk of mis-selling or misconduct.
- To coordinate, build and maintain good relationships with the regulators and Group Compliance.
- To attend the relevant meeting and provide compliance consultations to customers (colleagues)
- To prepare the report relating to the scope areas to the management, committee, group and/or company director
- To prepare the annual compliance plan relating to regulatory compliance and market conduct to come up with the annual compliance plan for Head of Compliance, CEO, Regional Compliance and Audit Committee (AC) review and approval.
- To complete the related activities laid down in Annual Compliance Plan within timeline
- To supervise, coach, and manage subordinates to develop particular knowledge and skill following Performance Management to achieve the objectives.
- To comply with the assignment requested by Head of Compliance, and/or CRO
AML/ABC Team Lead
- To lead the effective implementation of end-to-end AML/ABC/ FC framework (i.e. from policy drafting to conduct training and awareness)
- To be accountable on all job assignments and routine tasks done by direct reporting line AML, ABC, and Financial Crimes functions.
- To prepare the annual AML/ABC/financial crime components of compliance plan to come up with the annual compliance plan for Head of Compliance, CEO, Regional Compliance and Audit Committee (AC) review and approval.
- To complete the related activities laid down in Annual Compliance Plan within timeline
- To submit Management Information Reporting and carry out relevant analysis
- To coordinate, build and maintain good relationships with the regulators and Group Compliance.
- To ensure that effective training on AML, ABC, and FC to the required audiences and intervals as required
- To supervise, coach, and manage subordinates to develop particular knowledge and skill following Performance Management to achieve the objectives.
- To deal with outsourcing business (if any) regarding due diligence arrangement with corrective action plan and timelines for closing the gap.

Skills Required
- Experience in regulatory compliance within the financial services industry
- Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) legislation
- Ability to lead a team and manage compliance projects
