Position Summary:
Responsible for overall management of legal recovery activities within the internal legal team. Activities include policy recommendations, employee development, capacity planning, process design, budgeting and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for overall legal collection productivity, determining goals, and the timely and accurate forecast production and cost for the internal legal team (20%)

Collaborates with VP, peers, attorneys and workflow team to create and troubleshoot workflows (15%)

Examines and reviews various reports to drive legal activities (15%)

Examines and maintains proper inventory management by collaborating with inventory management and auditing teams (10%)

Examines daily workload volumes to prioritize work efforts including queue management, attorney placement, account updates, audits, and productivity standard maintenance (10%)

Oversees and assists senior managers and managers with support staff (5%)•Directs, guides and influences staff in handling all types of situations to determine the most compliant, profitable and effective method of operation (5%)

Identifies training issues and potential lost revenue and implements corrective action plans (5%)•Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility (5%)

Collaborates with vendors to achieve organizational objectives(5%)

Assists VP of Legal Recovery with operations, planning, setting and implementing achievable goals (5%)
Supervisory/Leadership:

Supervises a team of managers with direct reports.

Provides guidance, direction and mentorship to managers.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include participating in interview process and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Prepares annual reviews; prepares goals and salary recommendations; prepares and documents disciplinary actions; makes recommendation concerning discharge of employees to AVP/Human Resources; conducts employee discharge meetings with Human Resources.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Liberal Arts or Law and/or equivalent experience.

Paralegal Certification Preferred.

5+ years legal experience required.

5+ years high volume and capacity planning required.

Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated legal, leadership, supervisory and high volume processing experience.
Salary Range:
$70,000.00 - $106,000.00
PRA Group has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, specific working location and market position. This posted salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, and PRA Group reserves the right to adjust this range depending on the qualifications and location of the selected candidate. In addition to base salary, PRA may offer additional benefits to include performance based bonus programs and/or equity programs depending on the position.
