Candidate Profile / Summary
This role is ideal for a highly analytical finance professional with strong FP&A and expense management experience. The successful candidate will partner closely with Finance, COO teams, business leaders, and global expense owners to deliver insightful expense analysis, support forecasting and strategic planning, and drive cost discipline across the organization. The role requires strong technical skills, executive communication capabilities, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the coordination, preparation, and delivery of monthly and quarterly expense analysis and presentations for senior management.
- Partner with key stakeholders, including senior management, COO teams, Finance, and global expense owners, to influence cost discipline, business decisions, and expense management strategies.
- Deliver detailed expense analytics across vendors, projects, regions, businesses, and cost categories to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead analysis of expense forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, including variance analysis against prior periods, forecasts, and plan.
- Conduct regular reviews with COO teams and expense owners to analyze vendor-level spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess ongoing expense initiatives.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies, anomalies, and trends in expense data; partner with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate and drive process improvement initiatives related to expense reporting, forecasting, data quality, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to improve transparency and consistency across expense management processes.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis and presentations for senior leadership, including deep dives into expense categories, vendor spend, project costs, and business performance.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant FP&A, expense management, financial reporting, or related finance experience, preferably within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of expense management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, accounting principles, and the expense lifecycle, including accruals, allocations, capitalization, and invoice processing.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with the ability to develop clear, executive-ready analysis and presentations.
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools such as PeopleSoft, Essbase, Qlik Sense, Board, or similar applications preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate cross-functionally, interact with stakeholders at all levels, and work independently with sound judgment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required; Accounting degree preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
Primary Location: New York Full Time Salary Range of $130,000-$145,000.

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
