This position focuses on enhancing the Audio-Visual experience for HUB International, requiring a Subject Matter Expert to provide specialized knowledge and support. The AV Engineer will ensure that collaboration platforms are designed, planned, and implemented in a stable, secure, and supportable manner. Key to this role is the ability to partner directly with the business, internal IT teams, and vendor partners to deliver enterprise-wide solutions that meet and exceed requirements. Utilizing project management skills, business awareness, and technical expertise, the Senior AV Engineer will create and deliver a best-in-class customer experience strategy.

As a member of the team responsible for overall conference solutions and support across North America, the AV Engineer must stay updated with technology trends, assist with design solution strategies, produce product roadmaps, and drive overall project execution. This role involves leading the planning, implementation, and support of real-time audio-video collaboration experiences, ensuring seamless connectivity and issue resolution for Microsoft Teams Rooms, and fostering a collaborative team environment through partnership and mentorship.

Core Responsibilities for this Role:

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and support of real-time audio-video collaboration experiences, ensuring seamless connectivity and issue resolution for Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Provide insights on industry best practices, AV strategy, and standards, collaborating with vendor and internal teams to establish and follow HUB enterprise standards.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the network infrastructure supports high-quality video conferencing in Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Communicate with business owners to document objectives and goals, partnering with vendors to create solutions that meet these goals.
  • Interface with vendor partners to ensure the delivery of optimal technical solutions.
  • Develop clear processes and documentation to ensure continued collaboration success and knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for all audio-video collaboration-related issues.
  • Utilize project management skills to facilitate precursor task delivery leading up to the implementation and configuration of rooms.
  • Participate in cost management activities throughout implementation and support phases.
  • Facilitate the adoption and deployment of new technologies to assist in ongoing new installations and refresh planning.
  • Provide partnership and mentorship across the internal team to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ensure continuous improvement and innovation in AV collaboration solutions by staying updated with technology trends and driving overall project execution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced AV Conferencing Expertise: Extensive experience and knowledge in Microsoft Teams and Zoom audio and video conferencing, including administration and configuration of Microsoft Teams Rooms.
  • Office365 Collaboration Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office365 Collaboration and Communication tools, including Microsoft Teams administration and O365 Licensing.
  • Video Conferencing Solutions: Proven experience with video conferencing solutions, including Crestron Processor, AirMedia, Touch Panel, Logitech TAP, Biamp Dialer, Biamp DSP, and Digital Signage Player.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong project management and delivery skills, with the ability to lead and execute complex AV projects from planning to implementation.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, capable of diagnosing and resolving AV-related issues efficiently.
  • Organizational Skills: Well-organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Change Management Familiarity: Familiarity with change management, problem management, release management, quality management, and incident tracking, preferably with experience using the ServiceNow toolset.

Although hybrid to a local HUB office is desirable, we are open to remote candidates.
