AFS is seeking an Automation Test Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.
The Work:
You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support backend quality initiatives, troubleshoot failures, and optimize test automation practices. Familiarity with automation frameworks, scripting languages, and database tools will help you excel. Experience with tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar automation suites will enable you to effectively validate data and navigate backend testing workflows. Exposure to batch processing tools, data migration utilities, and backend monitoring solutions is highly valuable for this role.
Here’s What You Need:
- Ability to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for backend systems and processes
- Experience performing manual testing as needed to ensure complete test coverage
- Hands‑on experience testing and validating batch processing jobs and workflows
- Ability to identify, document, and track defects with clear communication of issues
- Experience collaborating effectively with developers and cross‑functional teams to resolve defects and improve product quality
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience analyzing automated and manual test results and providing clear, actionable recommendations
- Background maintaining and enhancing test automation frameworks, tools, or reusable libraries
- Experience ensuring testing activities align with project timelines, requirements, and quality standards
- Participation in test planning, test estimation, and project‑level reporting activities
Clearance Requirement:
- Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
