The Automation Solutions Architect will design scalable automation architectures, integrate AI technologies, and support various departments to enhance efficiency.
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Automation Solutions Architect to join our team at CNM Malaysia. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable automation architectures that support CNM’s internal operations across both US and Malaysia offices. Your expertise in AI, automation tools, system integration, and business application-to-application connectivity will help drive efficiency improvements aligned with CNM’s growth strategy.
In this role, you will translate business needs into robust automation solutions by leveraging AI technologies such as NLP, machine learning, RPA platforms, low-code tools, and seamless integration between diverse business applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, HR, Administration, Marketing, and other Operational teams to ensure smooth implementation while maintaining security compliance.
Key Responsibilities
•Design end-to-end automation architectures that integrate AI/automation technologies effectively within existing systems.
•Lead business application-to-application (app-to-app) integrations ensuring data flows smoothly between enterprise systems as part of automated workflows.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities where automation can improve workflows or reduce manual effort.
•Evaluate and recommend appropriate AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT), RPA platforms (UiPath, Blue Prism), low-code/no-code solutions based on operational needs.
•Develop detailed solution designs including process flows, data models, API/integration points, security considerations, and scalability plans.
•Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate new automation approaches before full-scale deployment.
•Oversee configuration & development efforts ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
•Work alongside project managers to track progress against timelines/budgets; proactively address risks or issues during delivery phases.
•Create comprehensive documentation covering architecture diagrams, technical specifications & user guides for ongoing maintenance.
•Support change management activities by providing training materials focused on solution usage best practices for end users.
•Partner with IT Security & Compliance teams to implement data protection protocols within automated processes in line with GDPR/SOC 2/client requirements.
Experience & Professional Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field.
•5+ years’ experience architecting enterprise-level automation solutions preferably within professional services or consulting environments.
•Strong hands-on knowledge of AI-based tools (NLP/ML frameworks) combined with practical experience using RPA platforms like UiPath or Blue Prism.
•Proven expertise in designing and implementing business app-to-app integrations using APIs/web services/middleware platforms as part of automated workflows.
•Familiarity with low-code/no-code platforms enabling rapid solution development preferred.
•Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies applied in automation projects.
•Proven ability to create clear architectural documentation understandable by both technical teams & business stakeholders.
•Experience working collaboratively across departments including IT/security/risk/compliance functions.
•Knowledgeable about regulatory frameworks impacting client data handling such as GDPR/SOC 2
