Position Overview
Evernorth Core Platform Engineering team is seeking an enthusiastic Automation Engineer – Associate Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is designed for individuals eager to start their career in automation engineering and quality assurance. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn, contribute, and grow in a high-performance enterprise technology environment.
As an Associate Analyst, you will assist in developing and executing test strategies for Web & Mobile applications, support automation initiatives, and gain hands-on experience with modern tools and frameworks. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational skills in automation, CI/CD, and agile practices.
Responsibilities- Assist in designing and executing test cases for web and mobile applications under guidance.
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for UI, API, and mobile platforms.
- Perform manual and exploratory testing when required to ensure product quality.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve defects by documenting issues accurately.
- Learn and apply best practices in Quality Engineering and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Gain exposure to data validation and basic SQL queries for backend testing.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to understand workflows and priorities.
- 0–1 years of experience in software testing or automation (internship experience is a plus).
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (JavaScript or TypeScript preferred).
- Exposure to automation tools like Cypress or WebdriverIO (academic or project experience acceptable).
- Knowledge of API testing concepts and tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of version control systems (Git-based tools like GitHub, GitLab).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Awareness of cloud technologies (AWS exposure is a plus).
- Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn new technologies.
