The Opportunity!

As the Auto Retention Associate working in one of our innovative Connect Centers, you are responsible for advising new and existing clients over the phone on how to best protect their assets when it comes to automobile insurance. Building relationships and offering solutions using a diverse selection of insurance products while achieving performance targets.

What you will bring to our team –

  • Strong conversation skills, detail oriented and computer systems proficiency

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Level 1 Insurance License an asset

  • Customer service and or call center experience an asset

A day in the life -

  • Build relationships with clients, colleagues and leaders so you can deliver a best-in-class client experience

  • Provide a wide variety of auto insurance services including renewals, new plates, transfers, cancellations, debt payments and more

  • Creatively offer a diverse selection of ICBC and private insurance products over the phone

  • Document all client conversations to minimize errors and future issues

  • Place outbound calls to enhance retention, focus on call to sale conversion

  • Manage inbound call volume through servicing calls in an efficient manner

  • Upsell and cross-sell other insurance products from our other departments

  • Consistently meet sales targets and telephone metrics

  • Receiving and processing payments in accordance with company policy

  • Using ICBC Policy Centre, our BMS EPIC and multiple other software solutions

  • Administrative duties, such as preparing documents, filing

Salary Expectations –

The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, ie., base salary plus commission.  As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate’s book of business at a particular time.  The expected base salary for this position is $40,000.00 to $45,000.00, plus commissions will be paid based on successful sales performance. The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
