We are seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle - Authorizations Associate to join our growing multi-disciplinary team!

What will you do? 

  • Responsible for all prior authorizations for treatment across every discipline. 
  • Work with families and providers internally to obtain documentation needed for authorizations 
  • Work closely with scheduling and internal teams to identify need for authorization, hours, and executes process for specific carrier, and follow through to completion (clear for reimbursement) 
  • Ensure no client receives services without valid authorization in place 
  • Serve as the primary contact between insurance carriers and Cortica for authorization management to include denials, appeals, clerical errors, database errors, and any other issues inhibiting access to treatment 
  • Manage Authorization Trackers 
  • Handle inbound calls and emails from patients regarding questions on their authorizations 
  • Maintain superior, positive internal and external customer service relationships  
  • Plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion 
  • Work with a tight-knit team in a fast- paced, high-growth environment 
  • Basic understanding of and ability to use basic software and systems including, but not limited to, electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products; daily use of laptop and/or tablet for email, note taking, and other tasks required

  • You are passionate about advancing treatment for children with autism and helping families. 
  • You have a strong understanding of insurance billing and CPT coding.  
  • You have 2+ years of healthcare billing experience.

The base pay range for this opening is $20/hr to $24/hr. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
