Responsibilities:
• Focuses on medium-term objectives and provides input to business or function strategy
• Understand & suggest improvements for policies, procedures, and processes across departments.
• Maintain compliance requirements and individual accreditation levels.
• Establish and maintain efficient relationships between Finance and Business Unit Finance staff.
• Prepare statutory accounts, branch accounts, group reporting packs, and regulatory returns accurately and timely.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of financial reporting and analytics.
• Comply with regulatory and statutory requirements for external reporting.
• Assist Line 1 and the Financial Control Lead in ensuring the delivery of quality of reports through reviews and audits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
Work Experience:
Necessary Work Experience includes:
Some relevant work experience.
Preferred Work Experience includes:
Considerable experience in project lifecycle management.
Experience in data manipulation and visualisation using reporting/BI tools and MS Excel.
Significant experience in managing relationships with internal customers.
Moderate experience in an accounting role.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications include:
Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Certifications as an accountant.
Travel Frequency:
Occasional (approximately 5-10 trips annually)

General office jobs: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer. Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
