We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to join the Global Internal Audit organization, working from our Center of Excellence in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Lead Data Scientist will be responsible for delivering advanced data analytics capabilities to help drive greater audit efficiency and value for the Latin America audit team.
This is an exciting role that will offer opportunities to use data and technology to improve audit quality and operations, gain invaluable business knowledge, develop a risk and controls mindset, and the chance to work with varied teams across the globe.
What you will do in this role...

  • Collect, clean, analyze and visualize large and complex data sets from various sources.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to build predictive and prescriptive models.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and clients using data storytelling and visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven business opportunities and solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and trends in data science and related fields.
  • Coach auditors to perform basic and intermediate analytics techniques in audit work
  • Identify and suggest new analytics use-cases for audit
  • Support storytelling of audit success and challenges with analytics usage


To help you succeed, you need...

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role, demonstrating your ability to understand and audit complex data initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages used for data analysis.
  • Understanding of various machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Spanish, enabling you to communicate effectively in a bilingual environment.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, to present insights clearly and compellingly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for finding solutions to complex challenges.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, allowing you to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.
  • A natural curiosity and creativity to explore new data sources and innovative methods.
