Summary
The position is under PR Newswire, one of the key brands under the Cision umbrella. This role will focus on expanding PR Newswire's Thailand media network by reaching out and building relationships with approximately 20 new news websites (including one of the top 10 local news outlets) each year, growing the Thailand journalist database by around 1000 contacts, and maintaining and strengthening connections within the Thai network.
A good understanding of the Thailand media landscape, a passion for media and journalist engagement, strong communication skills, and confidence in both Thai and English would be highly preferred.
It is initially a 6-month contractor role. After six months, there is a high possibility of a longer-term relationship with the company if the new joiner fits in smoothly.
Location
The ideal candidate is expected to be based in Bangkok, Thailand, for business and networking purposes.
This position is fully remote working (no office in Bangkok)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Expand PR Newswire’s distribution network to online websites, bloggers, database, and other channels in Thailand.
Manage and develop new content partnerships and media relations in Thailand
Assist our client services and marketing team when required
Desired Skills and Experience
- More than 3 years of experience in related functions, preferably in the areas of public relations, media relations, or corporate communications
Have a good understanding of public relations, the media landscape, and how media companies function
Passionate for engaging with media, solution-driven, self-motivated, accountable, independent, with good communication and problem-solving skills
High fluency in both Thai and English speaking and writing is a must
