ATM and ITM Pre-Sales Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA (Atlanta-based highly preferred but will consider other locations for qualified candidates)

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

The Presales Solution Engineer will work with the sales teams to ensure that NCR Atleos solutions sold are relevant, effective, appropriate and complete for customer engagements. In this role the successful candidate will become technically knowledgeable about NCR Atleos Banking solutions to align technical features and benefits of NCR Atleos' solutions to customer business and functional requirements.

Effective Presales Solution Engineers are constantly searching for ways to improve their demonstration capabilities, presentation skills, technical competency, facilitation of requirements management and working with the sales teams to align customer needs with NCR Atleos solutions focused on expanding self-service financial access with innovative digital-first tech for North America clients. The offerings include: ATM as a Service, ATM and ITM, ATM Network and Allpoint, Telecom and Technology, and ATM Managed Services.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage and lead technical aspects of a sales initiative
  • Work with sales to uncover and document technical customer solution requirements
  • Understand and communicate solution technical dependencies
  • Identify gaps in the customer environment that need to be resolved
  • Identify gaps in NCR Atleos solutions to meet customer requirements and communicate to Product Management
  • Recommend appropriate implementation options – on premise, SaaS, NCR as a Service
  • Organize and deliver complete NCR Atleos software demonstrations to meet customer needs
  • Assist sales teams writing proposals and delivering presentations
  • Sell and position solutions at all levels of the customer organization – know your audience
  • Work with customers and NCR Atleos services teams to clarify and document project scope
  • Ability to travel 25-35% of time (mainly in US and Canada with other international travel on rare occasion) to customer sites across the region
  • Ability to work effectively from a home office when not travelling to customer sites

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience 
  • 2+ years experience in the banking or financial services industry
  • Ability to demonstrate technical credibility and a consultative approach with customers
  • Experience with APIs, Web Services, REST, and SOAP.
  • Working knowledge of C# programming language.
  • Familiarity with AI and data analytics tools and concepts.
  • Understand what represents best practices from a technology perspective and in the context of NCR Atleos' product, solution, and service portfolio
  • Strong vertical expertise in self-service banking – digital, ATM, interactive services
  • Must have a positive attitude, be flexible and have good communication skills
  • Experience in managing all aspects of a technical sale including discovery, demos, follow-up, competitive positioning, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of related experience focused on the self-service financial industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of or proficiency with Microsoft Azure cloud services
