Asst Manager/Manager, Digital Industry Singapore

[What the role is]

This Asst Manager/Manager role sits within the Digital Industry & Talent Group (DITG), which spearheads the development of Singapore’s digital economy by creating a vibrant Information and Communications Technology (ICT) ecosystem to support the next wave of tech companies, alongside efforts to provide good tech jobs for Singaporeans and nurture them into global tech leaders.
Within DITG, the Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) serves as a single interface between the Singapore government and the technology sector, transforming the way both sides engage with one another. DISG leads the development of a thriving Infocomm and Media (I&C) industry, driving technology companies to create competitive products and services from Singapore for regional and global markets.
As part of the dynamic DISG team, you will work alongside a diverse group of officers from EDB, EnterpriseSG, and IMDA. This structure allows us to leverage the expertise, complementary networks, resources, and programmes across agencies to help tech companies on their journeys.

[What you will be working on]

1) Account Development and Management:

Develop and manage a portfolio of accounts (companies) in the Infocomm and Technology (ICT) sector. These could range from high growth start-ups to large Singapore-based ICT companies with the potential to be Singapore's Digital Champions, that will create good jobs and contribute to growth in the ICT sector.

The scope will include:

• Engaging C-level and management bench to understand their growth or transformation plans and jointly identify areas of collaboration or intervention with DISG
• Leading engagements within DISG, as well as across government agencies, user organisations and other stakeholders to navigate & scope key projects, partnerships or pilot deployments to achieve desired outcomes in the account's growth and transformation roadmap
• Leveraging across the agencies' (EDB, IMDA and ESG) programmes, schemes, incentives and networks to enable and accelerate the development and growth of the account
• Being the Single-Point-of-Contact for the account and key internal and external stakeholders
• Managing the administration of the programmes/projects and organise/coordinate related activities for your accounts
• Providing input, feedback and working with relevant teams and agencies to develop programmes, incentives and policies that may impact the development and growth of Singapore based ICM enterprises

2) Growth Engine (Horizontal):

Contributing to at least one horizontal growth engine (e.g., markets, emerging technologies such as in AI, Cyber Security and Quantum, talent, digitalisation, etc) and working with relevant teams (including across agencies) to provide inputs or co-develop programmes or policies that will support the growth and development of ICT companies

[What we are looking for]

Job Requirements

• 4 - 8 years of working experience in the ICT industry and/or account management/business development/management consulting roles
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage senior stakeholders and partner agencies
• Able to think critically and analytically to identify and conceptualise the most relevant intervention points and tools to support companies’ growth
• Able to zoom out and connect the dots to uncover new opportunities for collaboration, and identify potential ecosystem-supporting plays.
• Good networking skills to build long-term relationships with dynamic companies
• Proactive self-starter, able to work well in a team
• Able to multi-task, quick to adapt and able to work in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
• Passionate to build and champion the ICM industry
• Background in Computer/Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology preferred
