About the RoleClient Contribution & Handling- Draft press releases, Q&As, key messages, and other strategic communications materials in both Chinese and English
- Show an ongoing interest in and grasp of media, policy and market intelligence in China, and share insights appropriately with clients and teams
- Leverage in‑house AI tools and other resources to manage workload and ensure deliverables are on track, on time, and of the highest quality
- Contribute to brainstorms and pitch preparation
- Think on a strategic and tactical level about client issues and account development
- Deliver ideas, direction and content to the account team
- Produce high‑quality client deliverables that showcase the expertise, judgment and research behind our recommendations
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external clients and earn their trust
- Establish and maintain strong client and internal relationships, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and responsiveness across multiple time‑sensitive engagements
- Draw insights and opportunities from your personal and professional networks in China and globally, and leverage that knowledge on behalf of the Firm and our clients
- Participate in and contribute to training sessions when appropriate, and take advantage of learning and engagement opportunities
- Act as the “eyes and ears” of the team in the local market
- Share ideas, knowledge and recommendations with the wider team
- Earn the respect of peers and colleagues, and treat people with respect
- Prepare detailed reporter backgrounders and curate media lists tailored to the China media landscape
- Identify and assess media, visibility and stakeholder engagement opportunities that can elevate our clients’ profiles
What We're Looking For
Standout Executive candidates will demonstrate:
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience; corporate communications, public affairs or agency experience a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English
- Keen interest in China policy, business, capital markets, and other issues impacting multinational and Chinese companies
- Strong problem‑solving skills and a client‑service mindset
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high‑performance environment
- Ability to think strategically and creatively
- High discretion with confidential client matters
- International work or academic experience a plus
- Knowledge of local and global research resources (e.g., Wind, Factiva, Bloomberg) a plus
