Summary:
The Wealth Planner will assist clients and advisors with financial planning needs, including support related to wills, trusts, estate planning concepts, and overall financial wellness. This is an entry-level role designed to provide foundational experience in wealth planning while working closely with senior advisors and the broader advisory team. The individual will help prepare planning materials, gather client information, conduct basic analysis, and support client meetings, gaining hands-on experience and professional development in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support advisors in preparing materials related to wills, trusts, estate planning concepts, and inheritance discussions
- Assist in gathering client information and organizing financial data for planning reports
- Help draft sections of financial planning reports for advisor review, ensuring information is accurate and clearly presented
- Work alongside senior advisors to support development of personalized financial plans and investment recommendations
- Help clients organize and maintain documentation related to beneficiaries, estate planning documents, and trust information
- Participate in client intake and review meetings by collecting notes, updating records, and tracking follow-up items
- Provide educational materials to clients regarding basic estate planning and wealth protection concepts, as directed by advisors
- Monitor client records for updates in family status, assets, or financial goals and communicate changes to the advisory team
- Provide meeting coordination and administrative support during meetings with clients, attorneys, and other estate professionals
- Stay informed of basic trends in estate planning, wealth preservation, and regulatory updates
- Performs other duties as and when needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field
- 0-3 years of wealth management experience (other or additional relevant experience will be considered)
- Interest in or understanding of financial planning concepts, estate law, or trust administration
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage and prioritize tasks
- Ability to build rapport and maintain trusting client relationships
- Willingness to pursue relevant education and certifications in estate and tax planning (e.g., JD, CFP, estate planning courses)
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Consistently exhibits personal integrity and professional initiative
- Reliable, follows through on commitments, and takes initiative when facing new challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with others
- Professional appearance and demeanor
What We Offer:
We're proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, and more. The base salary range for this position is $68,000 – $91,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
