ING's Acquisition Finance NL & DACH team is looking for an Associate or Vice President to join us in Amsterdam. This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a market-leading leveraged finance platform, partnering with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies and corporates across the Benelux and DACH regions.
You'll gain exposure to the full transaction lifecycle, from evaluating opportunities and structuring financing solutions to underwriting, syndication and execution. You'll work alongside experienced professionals and collaborate with teams across ING, including Loan Capital Markets, High Yield Debt Capital Markets, Ratings Advisory and Agency.
What you'll be working onOur Acquisition Finance team provides innovative financing solutions to support:
- Leveraged buyouts
- Refinancings
- Recapitalisations
- Growth and acquisition financing
Transactions typically involve senior secured loans and may also include second lien debt, high-yield bonds and revolving credit facilities. Many of our deals are underwritten by ING and syndicated to institutional investors, giving you broad exposure to both client-facing and execution activities.
As part of a global Acquisition Finance platform of more than 100 professionals across EMEA, APAC and the US, you'll be joining a team that has consistently been recognised as one of the strongest leveraged finance franchises in Europe.
Your roleAs an Associate or Vice President, you'll play a key role in evaluating, structuring and executing transactions from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day transaction execution under the guidance of senior deal team members
- Performing financial, credit and risk analysis to support investment decisions
- Coordinating internal approval processes and engaging with Risk and senior stakeholders
- Working closely with Loan Syndicate teams throughout syndication processes
- Preparing investor and client presentations and supporting business development activities
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Reviewing transaction documentation and negotiating key commercial terms alongside ING Legal
- Supporting portfolio management activities, including amendments and waivers
- Mentoring analysts, trainees and interns
- Contributing to a strong risk culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
You will join a collaborative, entrepreneurial and highly motivated team of approximately 25 professionals based in Amsterdam and Frankfurt.

You bring:
- A university degree
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, corporate lending, capital markets, advisory or a related field
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills
- Experience with financial modelling
- The ability to understand complex transaction structures and identify practical solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mindset and client-focused approach
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organisational skills and a high level of ownership
- Fluency in English
