Job Description
Supports Columbia Threadneedle Investments' Fund Treasury and Private Fund Oversight functions across Mutual Funds, ETFs, Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), and Private/Hedge Funds. Candidate is responsible for supporting Treasury Oversight team, which involves Expense Analysis, invoice processing and reporting activities across multiple products. Additionally supports accounting oversight functions for private funds ensuring accurate fund administration, operational effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.- Accountable for administering compensation and deferred compensation plans for Mutual Fund Boards, Private Funds Board and supporting the preparation of annual Board Expenditures reports. Accountable for overseeing all funds vendor suppliers using established oversight tools to ensure timely receipt and processing of all vendor invoices across products i.e. mutual funds, ETFs, collective investment trust funds and private/hedge funds. Maintain strong oversight controls and vendor governance over third-party administrator.
- Manage relationships with internal business partners and overseeing the end-to-end fund expense payment process, including invoice submission to the third-party service provider and communication of payment activities to Corporate Treasury, Corporate Accounting, and the Investment Cash Team. Processing payments for Seligman Hedge Funds through a third-party cash management platform and collaborating on wire template setup and maintenance.
- Perform daily reconciliations of asset-based fees in an internal system, investigating discrepancies with managerial support, and assisting Corporate Accounting with asset-based fees, waivers, and reimbursements. Validate first-level management fees and reimbursements for daily NAV private funds and coordinating for related fee payments with requisite parties. Support expense calculations and regulatory "draft" document reviews for the RiverSource Annuities Products on an annual basis as needed.
- Preparing independent validations for Hedge Fund strategy Separate Managed Accounts (SMAs) to ensure NAV accuracy under managerial guidance. Producing various monthly Treasury and Private Fund Oversight deliverables related to fund expenses, expense ratios, and private funds data reporting. Coordinating the annual review of invoice payment approvers by collaborating with business leaders to validate approval authority and maintain accurate records.
- Actively participate across geographical locations and respond to internal inquiries. Document controls, procedures related to processes performed in the team, and have the same reviewed and updated on a periodic basis. Proactively contribute and participate in team meetings, trainings, engagement activities and coaching sessions.
