We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Tester Intern to join our Market Infrastructure Standards & Solutions team in Kuala Lumpur. This 6-month internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance processes, Agile delivery, and test automation while contributing to the quality and reliability of applications used by customers worldwide.
Create and maintain test cases based on business requirements, dashboards, user stories, and test plans.
Execute test cases of low to medium complexity according to test plans, execute manual test cases, analyze and log test results, and record test outcomes.
Review and analyze requirements, identify missing test cases, and participate in test preparation for a project or product.
Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira, and propose and run procedures that help to find errors existing in the product.
Update QA documentation and traceability matrix.
Keep more senior team members aware of the testing evolution and contribute to a correct evaluation and planning of resources in the project framework.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-up meetings, and other Agile team activities.
Assist in the implementation of test process improvements.
Assist in the implementation of test automation tools.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
Any experience within a testing and/or development environment is an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Experience with university projects involving software development.
Interest in financial technology and payment systems
Basic understanding of SQL programming language
No prior professional experience required.
Relevant academic projects, coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions will be considered an advantage.
