The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to translate complex technical information into user-friendly guides, SOPs, and manuals. If you have a passion for simplifying technology and ensuring knowledge is accessible across teams, this role is for you.
What You'll Do…
- Develop and Maintain Documentation: Research, plan, write, edit, and publish
a variety of technical content, user guides and manuals, online help
systems/knowledge base articles, tutorials and how-to guides, release notes, and
installation procedures - Simplify Complex Concepts: Translate highly technical information and
specifications into clear, easily consumable content for both technical and nontechnical end-users. - Collaborate with Subject Experts: Work closely with engineers, team leads,
managers, and support teams to gather information, understand product
features, and ensure technical accuracy. - Ensure Quality and Consistency: Edit, proofread, and standardize content for
clarity, consistency, tone, and adherence to our style guide and company
standards. - Manage Documentation Lifecycle: Own the documentation lifecycle, including
content architecture, version control, and content auditing for regular updates
and retirement. - Incorporate Visuals: Work with engineers or use screen-capture tools to
integrate graphics, screenshots, and diagrams to enhance user understanding. - Draft and publish announcements: Create and distribute announcements and
release updates to communicate system changes, maintenance activities, or new
feature rollouts.
What You’ll Need…
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered.
- 3–4 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, Technical Communicator,
or in a similar role, preferably within the IT industry. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to
adapt content for diverse audiences. - Strong aptitude for quickly grasping complex technical concepts and presenting
them in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner. - Excellent attention to detail, coupled with strong organizational and time
management skills to manage multiple projects effectively. - Solid understanding of technical domains such as Linux, networking, and IT
infrastructure. - Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and IT infrastructure
operations. - Flexibility to work in shifts within a 24/7 operational environment.
