Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION
This position is located in the Chicago IL area - relocation allowance is not available, sponsorship will not be offered. Incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Sustainability Department via departmental strategic priorities regarding environmental sustainability data, targets, and disclosure. Incumbent will also be assisting Sustainability leadership in the understanding of environmental impacts of the business and those happening to the business. Will also be involved with supporting employee education and engagement on climate related topics.

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Sustainability, or related field OR 4 years of direct consulting or industry experience relevant to the job responsibilities.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses solid technical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Pursuing or awarded professional credentials such as Sustainability Excellence Associate (SEA), Certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P) Candidate, LEED Green Associate, and WELL Accredited Professional
- Experience with or exposure to developing, monitoring, and reporting on Science Based Targets
- Experience with or exposure to sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, TCFD, and CDP
- Experience with or exposure to sustainability software platforms such as Workiva ESG and EnergyStar Portfolio Manager
- Experience with or exposure to building certification programs such as WELL and LEED
- Specific interest in the intersection of climate change and health a plus
