We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated SQA Engineer to support quality assurance activities for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications. This early-career role is ideal for a candidate with 1–2 years of QA experience who can execute defined test cases, document and track defects, support regression and functional testing efforts, and collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to help ensure reliable MES functionality and production support readiness. The ideal candidate follows established QA processes, contributes to testing activities under guidance, and supports the delivery of high-quality solutions in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Execute defined test cases and support test plan activities for MES applications and related integrations.
· Perform functional, regression, smoke, and basic integration testing based on documented requirements and acceptance criteria.
· Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking tools such as JIRA, providing clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
· Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and manufacturing stakeholders to understand MES workflows and validate expected system behavior.
· Support the validation of production fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes in MES environments.
· Maintain test documentation, test evidence, and quality-related artifacts in accordance with established team standards and procedures.
· Assist with basic test automation activities and continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of senior team members.
· Participate in defect triage, test execution reviews, and QA team activities to support timely issue resolution and product quality.
· Support production readiness efforts by executing assigned testing activities and verifying application functionality before deployment.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Typically:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
· 1–2 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably supporting MES, manufacturing, or enterprise application environments.
· Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
· Basic understanding of MES workflows, manufacturing processes, or enterprise application support concepts.
· Experience executing functional, regression, smoke, and integration test scenarios based on defined requirements and test cases.
· Familiarity with QA tools and practices, including test case execution, defect tracking, test documentation, and basic automation concepts.
· Exposure to tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Selenium, or Cucumber is a plus.
