About the position:

As an Associate Solutions Engineer, you’ll be the technical partner to our Mid Market Account Executives and learn to become a trusted advisor to customers navigating security and network transformation. This is an entry-level pre-sales role with a structured ramp, hands-on enablement, and direct mentorship from experienced SEs and SE leadership.
You’ll start by supporting discovery calls, running product demos, and helping with proof-of-value engagements. As you build expertise, you’ll take on more ownership of technical evaluations, customer-facing presentations, and deal strategy. This is a strong launchpad for a long-term career in Sales Engineering

Responsibilities include:
  • Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, uncover customer pain points, and map Netskope solutions to business and technical requirements
  • Deliver clear, engaging product demos and technical presentations to audiences ranging from hands-on engineers to security leaders
  • Support proof-of-value (POV) engagements, including environment setup, configuration, success criteria tracking, and results readouts
  • Answer technical questions and help respond to security questionnaires, RFPs, and architecture reviews
  • Build and maintain deep knowledge of the Netskope platform, including Secure Web Gateway, CASB, Zero Trust Network Access, Data Loss Prevention, and AI and GenAI security use cases
  • Stay current on the broader security landscape, including SASE/SSE, Zero Trust, cloud security, and competitive offerings
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during evaluations and work with Support, Product, and Engineering to resolve them
  • Capture customer and field feedback and share it with Product and internal teams
  • Contribute to team knowledge through demo environments, documentation, and enablement material
  • Complete Netskope certifications and our internal SE onboarding program
Job Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of experience in a technical role such as IT, help desk, systems or network administration, security operations, consulting, or a technical internship
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, proxies, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with core security concepts (authentication, encryption, threat types, data protection)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
  • Curiosity, a willingness to learn quickly, and comfort with feedback
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
Desire:
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or SaaS applications (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce)
  • Exposure to identity and endpoint technologies or MDM tools
  • Relevant certifications (Security+, Network+, CCNA, AWS/Azure fundamentals, or similar)
  • Internship, co-op, or early-career experience in pre-sales, customer success, or technical support
  • Experience presenting to groups, whether in a professional, academic, or community setting

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Compensation: 

At Netskope, salary is one component of our competitive total rewards package. The salary range for this position is as listed below. This is a national range. For purposes of complying with applicable laws, the range applies to candidates in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, New York, Washington, and other states.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will also be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions. 

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the On Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target commission amount at 100% goal achievement.

In addition to salary, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus plan (for non-sales roles) and a stock award program. Candidates may also be eligible for a comprehensive health plan and other benefits that can be reviewed at Netskope Benefits site. 

Salary Range
$98,000—$139,500 USD
