The Software Support Engineer works independently and as part of the End User Computing team to support and maintain Echo core applications.  This role serves as a point-of-contact for end users reporting various application issues. It is pertinent that this person demonstrates proficiency in all Echo business functions and applications. They must exhibit effective communication skills in all customer and team interactions and offer exceptional customer support.  They are responsible for ensuring that all assigned problems and solutions are worked, escalated, and communicated in a timely manner.  

    

What You’ll Do 

  • Provide advanced application support and resolve user issues end-to-end  

  • Manage and prioritize tickets; investigate, escalate, and document solutions  

  • Analyze code and contribute to bug fixes and enhancements  

  • Drive automation and process improvements  

  • Create and maintain knowledge base articles and documentation  

  • Lead or support deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities  

  • Partner with Service Desk, Dev, QA, and Infrastructure teams  

  • Perform root cause analysis and improve system reliability  

  • Support onboarding and cross-training of team members  

  • Participate in on-call rotation (24/7 support)  

 

What You Bring 

  • 1+ year of application support or relevant technical experience (new grads encouraged).  

  • Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies 

  • Solid object-oriented programming (OOP) fundamentals; ability to learn new technologies quickly  

  • Basic experience with SQL and APIs (HTTP methods; tools like Postman a plus)  

  • Familiarity with C# and/or VB.Net is a plus  

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills  

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization  

  • Team-oriented with a strong sense of ownership  

 

Nice to Have 

  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace)  

  • Exposure to Agile environments or ITIL practices 

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Compensation

$73,987.00-107,576.00 per year

This role is eligible for a bonus that is based on a combination of personal and business performance.
