Associate Software Engineer

Grade Level (for internal use):

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Work with relational databases (Postgres / Oracle) to design schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Explore and leverage AI tools to improve productivity, enhance features, and accelerate development workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong programming experience in Java with solid understanding of Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on experience with at least one relational database (PostgreSQL or Oracle).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data-driven insights.
• Awareness or basic working knowledge of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, ML libraries, automation tools).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
