The product offering consists of over 70 products (and growing) that provide solutions to companies of varying sizes. Users get real-time data to make the best decisions. Companies who use our products can understand overall costs, return on investment for those costs, and ways to improve their revenue and profit. insightsoftware is unique in that we offer such a wide range of products and solutions for the office of the CFO. Our goal is to better align and market these products for our existing and future customers.

AI First

At insightsoftware, AI is not a side tool. It's part of how we build software, and you will be expected to work the same way. You will be expected to use AI coding assistants and other AI tools as part of your daily workflow, not as an occasional shortcut.

What this looks like in practice:

• Use AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar tools) to accelerate coding, debugging, and test writing, while still owning the quality and correctness of what you ship.
• Apply AI tools to speed up research, documentation, and code reviews.
• Bring a curious, experimental mindset: try new AI-assisted workflows, share what works with your team, and flag what doesn't.
• Understand that AI output is a starting point, not a finished product. You will be responsible for validating, testing, and improving anything an AI tool generates.
• Get exposure to how AI is embedded directly into our products through Lineos, AI powered by insightsoftware, giving you a front-row seat to how AI-first thinking shows up in what we ship to customers, not just how we build it.

The people who do best here will treat AI as a thinking partner, not a shortcut. You will be expected to move fast while staying sharp about what you're shipping and validating.

Day to day tasks depend on the team you are part of. In our environment, the scrum teams are self-sustaining doing end to end work that contributes to the objectives of the scrum team. Depending on the role selected for and the team, you may do some tasks more than the others. Our teams develop software for multiple products and domain include technology platforms, web-based applications, high performance data drivers and business finance data.

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products.
• Design and code automated tests (functional, integration and regression), run manual tests, report metrics and defects.
• Design, trouble shoot CI/CD pipelines, Manage the cloud (AWS) infrastructure
• Code, participate in code reviews, testing, bug bashes, and Agile rituals
• Work with the team lead to build applications, assist in Research activities and POCs

Our engineers have a high sense of ownership and hunger for learning.  To be successful, you will need the following skills in varying degrees depending on the team you are selected for.

• Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages. SQL, PL/SQL, C#, C++, Java & JavaScript are mostly used in day-to-day job. While we expect you to know one well, knowing at least two boosts your chances of being successful at job.
• Experience in one or more of the unit testing tools like nunit, cppunit, xunit, junit.
• Exposure to databases and data modelling.
• Added Advantage if you have one or more of the below skills
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing in AWS, Basic understanding of DevOps – CI\CD, Source Control and build automation
  • API automation testing including unit test automation frameworks
  • understanding of testing, test methodologies and how test fits into Agile methodology
  • Experience in design methodologies like OOAD , Knowledge of Design patterns

Teams use the above skills to achieve success.  An SDET uses programming and knowledge of testing to improve quality while an SDE uses the same skills with emphasis on building the product. Solid programming skills is a must for any role.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Should have studied data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis & databases; Internships, course work and additional trainings in these areas will boost your candidature.
• Excellent proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
