Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software
applications. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of
software. Typically requires 2-3 years of experience developing software applications or in a related area and up to 2 years
of experience in previous role. Has a working knowledge of a variety of technical concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Follows disciplined software development practices. Upto-date on current and best practices related to software development. Consults with other engineering staff and product
marketing to evaluate requirements of overall system. Performs requirement analysis, dependency and estimation on a
variety of complicated technical tasks. May structure, task, direct and review the technical work of others. Has the ability to
make good judgment calls. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Reports to a Group Leader or Section
Manager/Manager
