Role PurposeDiversey is seeking a motivated and technically strong Associate Scientist to support innovation and development projects at R&D Mumbai. The role will focus on assisting in the development and evaluation of formulations for Institutional and Laundry (I&L) applications, including Fabric Care, Kitchen Care, Floor Care, and Personal Care products.
The Associate Scientist will work closely with team members and cross-functional teams to execute laboratory experiments, generate reliable data, and support the development of sustainable, compliant, and high-performance products aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and conduct laboratory experiments, develop test protocols, analyze data, and document findings.
Generate innovative ideas and solutions for new products and applications.
Ensure product development aligns with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and communicate progress to management and project teams.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
Manage short-term project priorities, monitor timelines, and ensure successful project completion.
Master’s or PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer technology, Chemical Technology, or related discipline.
Master’s: 3-4 years of relevant R&D experience in formulation and application development in the areas of hard surface cleaning, laundry applications, Floor care & Personal care product range
Ph.D.: 1-2 years of relevant R&D experience in formulation or application development.
Candidates with know-how on interfacial science and formulation design are preferred
Highly proficient with hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, product testing, and stability testing.
Preferred to have knowledge of Six Sigma tools, project management, planning, estimating, monitoring, and controlling activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
