The Associate Sales Account Executive role is responsible for developing the company’s sales in the assigned territory (or with assigned customers or customer groups). This role will be responsible for territory planning, building and closing a pipeline of opportunities in the designated territory; the development and management of Promethean’s relationship with customers in the territory, ensuring that they are educated on the nature and benefits of Promethean’s offerings, and are enabled and motivated to buy (or promote) Promethean solutions. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows established strategies and guidance from senior managers and have a limited influence on decision-making. Job duties stated below are often accomplished with guidance and oversight by manager
  • Focus on learning Promethean’s Sales process and building foundational sales skills 
  • Involved in developing a territory management plan with guidance from manager and build a pipeline of opportunities in the territory 
  • Take responsibility as the primary Promethean point of contact for the relationship with your customers 
  • Managing smaller accounts or specific tasks within larger accounts when required. 
  • Develop business with new and existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas 
  • Develop, maintain, and grow sales prospects and new opportunities with new and current customers in the territory with the purpose of increasing revenue, margin, and market share 
  • Be able to articulate the Promethean value proposition and demonstrate the benefits of Promethean solutions either face to face or remotely or both 
  • Work together with the Marketing department on activities to drive revenue from your assigned territory 
  • Build and maintain strong long-lasting customer relationships 
  • Forecast and track key account metrics including pipeline management, pricing actions, demonstration activity, marketing activity, sales reporting, competitive activity etc. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Must live in the Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT area
  • Must be within 30 minutes of a major airport
  • Travel is required (up to 75%)
  • Degree level preferred but not essential 
  • 1 - 2 years of selling experience in either the education or technology markets preferred 
  • Experience of selling through a distribution channel preferred but not required 
  • Knowledge of the education market preferred 
  • Strong presentation skills and customer service skills 
  • Knowledge of salesforce.com CRM system preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work with resellers, educators, and decision makers 
  • Travel is required (up to 75%)

Salary Range - $69,600 - $90,100 Plus Commission Eligible


For business reasons, Promethean does not employ individuals who work remotely in San Francisco, San Jose or Oakland.
