Associate Quality Analyst

Job Overview
Applied Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching for an Associate Quality Analyst within our Development team
The QA department is part of the Technology division and is responsible for testing software and setting quality standards and processes used throughout the department. Working under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for the execution of all assigned test-related functions during a project. It is your responsibility to build enhanced quality in your product area/s.
What you'll do

• Perform feature testing, well-defined regression and release testing, as assigned following existing standards and processes
• Write Test Notes to describe how the testing was done
• Review, recreate and test defect reports
• Monitor Knowledge Repository as assigned areas of the program change and submit corrections accordingly
• Understand and use existing tools for testing the assigned areas of the program
• Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, and sprint planning
• Become proficient from a business point of view in the assigned area of the product

• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for someone who:

• Can either work within or remotely within one of our UK/Ireland Offices

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

• Previous work experience in Software Support, Product Design, Software Testing, Training, or Consulting
• Experience with Microsoft OS and SQL Server; previous work experience in the software industry;
• Strong Attention to detail
• Desire to work within the technology sector
