As an Associate Quality Assurance and Data Integrity specialist, you will immerse yourself in a variety of essential tasks that underpin the accuracy of financial reporting for complex asset portfolios. Your day-to-day responsibilities will see you collaborating with front office teams, finance professionals, back office staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless completion of quarterly asset evaluations, VIE assessments, provision notices, discounted cash flow analyses, and monthly reporting requirements. You will be instrumental in maintaining robust data integrity by managing system updates, reconciling balances, monitoring borrower ratings, investigating discrepancies, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. Your ability to communicate effectively across departments will enable you to build strong peer networks while your attention to detail ensures that all regulatory obligations are met with precision. By providing support and training to junior team members, you will also contribute positively to the team's collective success.

  • Assist in centralising core asset evaluation, VIE (Variable Interest Entity) assessments, provision notices, discounted cash flow processes, and related reporting tasks into one cohesive team structure.

  • Monitor borrower ratings actively to ensure timely identification of customers requiring asset evaluation, supporting quarterly and semi-annual reporting cycles.

  • Perform administrative and reconciliation processes efficiently to maintain accurate records and meet strict reporting deadlines.

  • Manage communications across multiple departments, updating internal systems as needed to reflect correct information and facilitate effective inter-departmental collaboration.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all core systems and internal procedures relevant to asset evaluation and data integrity functions.

  • Conduct initial VIE assessments for new borrowers each month, ensuring accurate reporting of total assets, paid-in capital, and exposures according to established timelines.

  • Report loan and swap exposures while performing completeness checks to confirm all entities are captured accurately within reports.

  • Undertake various administrative duties and ad hoc assignments as required by the team or management.

  • Take ownership of investigation items assigned to the team, ensuring they are monitored closely and resolved promptly with thorough documentation.

  • Support the quality assurance team in conducting QA checks while providing guidance and training to junior colleagues.

What you bring:

  • A solid background in banking or accounting with proven experience in financial accounting skills and reporting within a regulated environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage large datasets efficiently for reconciliation purposes.

  • Experience guiding or supporting junior colleagues within a team setting while fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering strictly to deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality.

  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to build relationships across departments for effective information gathering and problem resolution.

  • A proactive approach combined with meticulous attention to detail ensures high standards are consistently maintained throughout all processes.

  • Capability to investigate queries independently using logical reasoning skills while delivering solutions promptly under pressure.

  • Familiarity with VIE assessments or asset evaluation processes is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is highly valued.

  • Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork, inclusivity, empathy, and mutual respect among colleagues at all levels.

  • A calm demeanour when handling tight deadlines or high workloads coupled with flexibility in adapting working styles as needed.

We are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
