Job Summary

The Associate Project Manager supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of key client projects under the guidance of a Project Manager or senior leadership. This role may lead or assist with coordinating tasks, tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring projects stay on schedule, and tracking budget. Associate Project Managers may manage small-medium sized projects with a single technology domain independently, or work under the direction of a larger project management team in which they support the lead Project Manager with components of project management scope.

Job Responsibilities

Assist in the coordination of day-to-day project activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and updating project trackers.

 

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely execution of assigned tasks.

 

Support the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules and help monitor progress, deliverables, and key milestones.

 

Track project budgets and expenses with supervision; assist with preparing financial summaries or reports as needed.

 

Participate in project status meetings and help prepare status updates for stakeholders.

 

Assist in identifying and documenting project risks, issues, and changes in scope, escalating when appropriate.

 

Contribute to effective communication among team members by helping develop and distribute project plans, meeting notes, and progress reports.

 

Support the implementation of quality assurance processes to help ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

Help maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships by demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail.

 

Follow established project management methodologies, processes, and tools.

 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of project coordination or project management experience.
  • Exposure to technology projects and project management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of financial processes and ability to analyze and create financial reports.
  • Familiarity with standard project management frameworks and the project management lifecycle.
  • Thorough documentation, communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, teamwork, and project management software skills.
