1.
Production Management
- Plan, organize, and
supervise daily production activities for electronic meter assembly,
testing, calibration, final assembly.
- Ensure achievement of
production targets (quantity, quality, and timeline).
- Monitor line balancing
and optimize productivity.
2.
Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to
quality standards and processes.
- Monitor in-process
quality checks and final inspection.
- Coordinate with QA team
for defect analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive reduction in rework
and rejection.
3.
Manpower Handling
- Allocate manpower based
on production plan.
- Monitor attendance,
discipline, and performance of operators.
- Train and guide
shop-floor employees on processes and quality standards.
4.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Ensure proper utilization
of tools, jigs, and fixtures.
- Coordinate preventive and
breakdown maintenance of machines (soldering stations, testing benches,
etc.).
- Maintain daily equipment
checklists.
5.
Process Improvement
- Implement Lean, 5S, and
Kaizen initiatives.
- Identify bottlenecks and
improve cycle time.
- Drive continuous
improvement projects to enhance efficiency.
6.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to
safety standards and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protocols.
- Maintain 5S standards on
the shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with
statutory and company policies.
7.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with Planning,
Quality, Stores, and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain production
reports (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Report production status,
issues, and action plans to management.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience
- Diploma
/ B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field
- 3–7 years in electronics manufacturing (preferably meter, PCB, or
EMS industry)
- Experience in electronic manufacturing assembly, testing, and
calibration processes
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Strong leadership and team handling
- Knowledge of electronic components and
assembly processes
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing &
5S
- Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems)
