The Associate Product Manager is responsible for supporting the life insurance product development initiatives and encouraging positive relationships with other functional areas within US Insurance, including Distribution, IS, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Underwriting.
Position Responsibilities:

Product Development: Support product managers on product development initiatives to ensure that projects are implemented according to plan and that any issues are resolved promptly and effectively. This would include bank and wirehouse product submissions, user acceptance testing and learning the Product Development process.

Product Management: Responsible for presentation updates and supporting materials for product presentations.

VUL Funds: Assist with semi-annual fund updates and special projects related to the John Hancock Variable Insurance Trust.

Distribution Support: Assist Distribution with general product questions relating to John Hancock’s retail life insurance products and Variable funds.

Product R&D: Support new product research and development efforts.
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-
4+ years’ experience in the insurance industry
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of the life insurance brokerage marketplace
-
Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
-
Technical understanding of insurance products
-
Ability to analyze large amounts of data and synthesize the essential information for both senior management and distribution team members.

Excellent communication (particularly written) and interpersonal skills to deal with both technical and non-technical audiences and customers.

Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills

Salary range is expected to be between
$71,550.00 USD - $119,250.00 USD
