Job Description
Summary:
- Develop software-based Industrial Automation System configuration and selection tools.
- Establish and maintain required tools, data, and processes.
- Organize data from existing databases for use in electronic based marketing tools.
- Is familiar with Industrial automation products.
- Must have desire to learn Automation products for self and team growth
- Server based web applications
- Knowledge on Automation products
- Experience creating and maintaining product configurators similar to those seen on a computer manufacturer's website for configuring a computer: starting with the base model selection, then processor, hard drive, RAM, video card, and accessories
- Ability to interpret product configuration specifications provided by product marketing and create, test, and deploy product configurators based on those specifications
- Ability to work with Product Marketing to clarify configurator requirements and make changes to configurators the result from product marketing review
- You will be reporting to Team Lead.
- To have solid data skills (MS Access, SQL and Excel)
- Should be flexible in operating with U.S. time zones during the software release & testing activities.
- Exposure to automation products
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to self-manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Role will require daily interaction with Product Managers and third-party companies.
- Minimum 1-4 years experienced Electronic/Instrumentation/Electrical/Computer Science Engineer with software projects development & maintenance background. Who can also have (Rockwell Automation or competitor product knowledge) in his as a part software development projects.
- Must have strong working and live project exposure on declarative product model programming experience in a configurator environment (for example, SAP Variant Configuration, Selectica configurator, Oracle/Siebel,BigMachines, Cameleon, Cincom, Configit, Configure1,FPX, Intelliquip, Sterling, Tacton, TDCI)
- Must have strong working experience and live project exposure on database programming.
- Must have good Software application development, testing skills & documentation
- Must have experience working in configurator development environment as listed above
