Job Responsibilities:
Magna is looking for Technical Product owner who collaborates with stakeholders to scale smart solutions driving the development of the vision and mission of the product roadmap. The product owner will be responsible for prioritization and implementation of the features of the product at a scale.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and maintain the Scrum Team Backlog (planning & prioritizing).
- Responsible for the internal stakeholder and customer communication for the assigned scrum team/product.
- Define the team's specific objectives for the upcoming Sprint/Program Increment.
- Coordinate content dependencies with all relevant stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Support evaluation of off-the-shelf products to ensure they meet business needs.
- Create contractual project related documentation like a requirements specification and statement of work
- Act with honesty and integrity and make ethical business choices in accordance with Magna's Compliance Policies and Procedures
- Coordinate with divisional I4.0 champions to ensure deliverables are met based on the business roadmap
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (mechanical, electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in an Agile environment for a product successfully industrialized
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner in a cross-functional team, dedicated to the complete product development lifecycle of successfully launched enterprise solutions deployed globally
- Possesses good communication skills
- Experience with SDLC tools such as JIRA
- Experience capturing and managing software requirements as User Stories
- Experience facilitating backlog refinement
- Experience with user-defined workflows
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Should have basic knowledge of software development and the industry for the particular component
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Problem solver that is action-oriented with the ability to look at problems in new ways.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to design an effective solution.
- Ability to support multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, negotiation skills, and flexibility to address competing demands.
- Ability to explain Production / technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide audience and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.
- 2-3 years of Product Owner or Team Lead experience
