The Associate Producer is responsible for supporting the production cycle of The Conformist, supporting and enabling the team and the Lead Producer. This role owns planning, execution, coordination, and delivery across disciplines, ensuring the project meets quality, scope, and timeline expectations. The Associate Producer works closely with narrative, design, art, technical, QA, and localization teams, and coordinates with production leadership to keep development aligned and on track.

Essential qualifications
  • Proven experience as an assistant/associate producer or project manager on game development projects (can be student projects, if so please share portfolio links).
  • Understanding of game development workflows across narrative, design, art, engineering, QA, and localization.
  • Knowledge of production schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking and the fundamentals of software project management.
  • Knowledge of production rituals and the challenges of coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to surface risks and and help find solutions. 
  • Experience using production and tracking tools such as Codecks or JIRA to enable production (more broadly, the use of tools to track production)
  • Ability to help manage scope, priorities, and change control in a structured and transparent manner.

  • Experience working on narrative-driven or content-heavy games (can also be student projects, if so, please share portfolio).
  • Familiarity with live collaboration across distributed or hybrid teams.

Job responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end production for critical elements of The Conformist, covering planning, execution, delivery, and project completion.
  • Help build and maintain the project plans, milestones, schedules, and day-to-day task coordination across multiple departments.
  • Help run core production rituals and communications, including standups, planning sessions, reviews, and milestone readiness checks for their teams. 
  • Supporting tracking tasks, dependencies, risks, and decisions in Codecks and related tools, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.
  • Support coordination cross-discipline collaboration between Content (Lead Writer and Narrative Designer), Design, Art, Tech, QA, and Localization.
  • Help manage scope, prioritization, and change control to keep the team focused on the highest-value deliverables for each milestone.
  • Coordinate closely with the Lead Producer and Torpor leadership, providing regular status updates and aligning on priorities, resourcing, and timelines.
  • Organize playtests and internal feedback loops with QA and the development team, ensuring issues are triaged and resolved against milestone targets.
  • Coordinate with external partners and service providers as needed, including outsourcing, external QA, and localization vendors, ensuring quality and schedule alignment.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date production documentation in Notion and Miro, including roadmaps, processes, and key decisions.
