Summary:
In this role, you will oversee large-scale consulting projects, manage key client relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives. Your expertise in contracting, sourcing, and cost-containment strategies will be critical in identifying and implementing solutions that enhance financial and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead cross-functional project teams by fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment, providing coaching and feedback to support professional growth, and inspiring teams to deliver high-quality results while promoting a positive culture, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning to drive consulting excellence.
Plan and oversee the execution of complex projects, programs, and operations across the client’s system of care, including managing a portfolio of engagement projects.
Ensure successful and timely delivery by managing project scope, resources, and financial performance, leading cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results, and developing project plans that align with goals, timelines, and budgets.
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior executives, including C-suite leaders, serving as a strategic advisor who proactively addresses client needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and shapes and implements solutions to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
Develop and deliver clear, persuasive communications to executive-level audiences by confidently facilitating complex discussions and presentations, while adapting messaging to suit diverse stakeholders for maximum clarity, engagement, and alignment.
Contribute to driving revenue by participating in and identifying upsell and new business opportunities, serving as a subject matter expert throughout the sales process
Guide clients to uncover non-obvious opportunities for addressing complex business challenges by leveraging deep knowledge of offerings and products, while providing expert interpretation of data through the synthesis of business trends and analytical insights.
Oversee the creation of professional proposals, pricing, and resource models that translate client needs into solutions, while effectively articulating Vizient's value proposition in integrating multiple data sources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
10 or more years of relevant experience in contracting, sourcing, and cost improvement initiatives within a healthcare provider organization and/or consulting firm required.
Proven expertise in developing and executing operational strategies, analyzing financial and quality data, and leading performance improvement initiatives required.
Project management and solution delivery experience in health care, operations management, or consulting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage executives, providers, and staff at all levels required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required (i.e. analyze and interpret data, identify opportunities, and develop actionable insights) required.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to travel regularly throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
