Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll processing for Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, ensuring accurate, timely, and fully compliant payroll delivery across all three jurisdictions. You will oversee the complete payroll cycle—including data collection, validation, statutory calculations, reconciliations, payments, and reporting—while ensuring adherence to local labour laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
Your responsibilities will also include maintaining employee records, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, resolving payroll-related queries, and supporting audits and statutory filings. This position requires strong technical knowledge of country-specific payroll regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage cross-border payroll operations with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan, including data collection, validation, statutory calculations, payroll reconciliation, and timely payout in full compliance with local regulations.
• Handle post-payroll activities, such as statutory filings, social security submissions, tax reporting, GL file preparation, bank file processing, and audit support.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and coordinate effectively with internal teams, external payroll vendors, and government authorities to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Communicate in fluent English, providing clear and timely responses to payroll-related queries from employees, managers, and stakeholders across different regions.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration, contributing positively to a cross-border payroll environment and supporting process improvements where required.
• Hold a graduate degree with 4–6 years of hands-on experience in payroll processing for HK, CN, and TW, with solid knowledge of statutory requirements and payroll best practices in these jurisdictions.
• Plan and organize clients' payroll compliance requirements.
• Conduct research on specific customer queries and systemic issues, providing informed solutions and insights.
• Lead project planning and track progress of key work streams through to completion.
• Manage cross-functional work streams and business dependencies.
• Handle multiple stakeholder management effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Required Fields of Study: HR, Finance, Economics, Business or any related field

Minimum Years of Experience: 4-7 years of relevant experiences in payroll

Certification(s) Required: Nil

Language: Mandarin & English
