Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking an Associate Mixed Signal Test and Process Engineer for our tactical missile system development and production programs at Advanced Weapons Business Unit located in Northridge, CA. No remote work as this is an on-site position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering department process documentation that includes engineering checklist, guides and procedures.
- Track electrical engineering performance metrics on non-conformance and process improvement initiatives. Drive open action to closure in collaboration with peers.
- Keep documentation up to date and make improvements as needed per input from stakeholders.
- Support CCA related production activities in fabrication and test areas.
Basic Qualifications for Mixed Signal Test and Process Engineer (Level 01):
- BS degree in an engineering discipline; preferably in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering field with 0 years of experience
- Knowledge of fundamental Electrical Engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD compliant designs that meet reliability and maintainability requirements.
- Familiarity in setting up test benches and equipment as needed to perform validation testing.
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills and ability to systematically work though de-bugging process while maintaining proper documentation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications for Mixed Signal Test and Process Engineer
- Familiar with PWB (Printed Wiring Borad) design rules and techniques for CCA’s with >20 layers count from initial prototype to production. Knowledge of EDA tools package such as Mentor Graphics or equivalent.
- Experience with standard test equipment such as power supplies, spectrum analyzer, power meters and oscilloscopes.
- Design of Digital circuits with large scale FPGA/SoC’s and high-speed interfaces.
- Conduct verification and validation (V&V) testing as well as Conduct system-level testing.
- Secret Clearance adjudicated within the last 5 years
